Universal Dance Terms & Conditions

Payments and Costs
-Universal Dance operates a no-refund policy once payments have been made. However, depending on circumstances, we may offer the opportunity to hold the payment for future use.
-We reserve the right to change fees or the timetable without prior notice but will endeavour to inform you of any changes as soon as possible.
- All fees must be paid before or at the first class of the term. Failure to do so may result in the student being unable to participate in class.
- Please read Stripes full terms and conditions.
- One months notice is required to withdraw from any Universal Dance class or Crew subscription.
- Only one UD Discount can be applied at any given time. UD Discounts do not apply to students in our Crew Programmes.
- No refunds will be provided for classes cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. Where possible, affected students may be invited to attend another Universal Dance class.
- Universal Dance reserves the right to refuse service to anyone under the Consumer Protection Law.
Photography and Filming Policy
By enrolling in classes, you consent to your child being photographed or filmed during lessons, rehearsals, and performances. These images or videos may be used for promotional purposes on our website, social media, and marketing materials. Please notify the Director or your class teacher in writing if you have any concerns regarding this.
Clothing and Attire
Students are required to wear appropriate attire for each class to ensure safety, comfort, and discipline. The dress code for each style is as follows:
- Street & Commercial Dance: Joggers/leggings, UD t-shirt, and trainers.
- AcroDance: Tight-fitting top or leotard and sports shorts/cycling shorts.
- Contemporary Dance: Black leotard and footless tights/leggings.
- Ballet: Please speak to Sabrina Sutton on correct uniform for your child’s class. Hair must be secured in a neat ballet bun, and ballet shoes are required.
- Crew Training: Crew tracksuit is mandatory for all sessions.
Note: Your child must not attend class in any clothing worn to school/college that day, and school shoes are not to be worn for dancing.
Attending Classes
- Please complete the registration link from ClassForKids before attending any complimentary taster session.
- Parents/guardians of students under 18 years of age must meet the teacher during enrolment to ensure all forms are signed.
- Students should arrive on time and attend classes regularly to improve technique and ability.
-Mobile phones are not permitted to be used during class, unless being utilised for filming purposes.
- All students must be dressed appropriately for exercise, including having long hair tied back and all jewellery removed. Earrings that cannot be removed must be taped over.
- Trainers are required where applicable. If a student is not in appropriate attire, they may participate in bare feet or be asked to sit out to prevent injury.
- It’s important to stay hydrated, so please ensure your child brings plenty of fluids.
- No sweets or chewing gum are allowed during class. End-of-term treats given by the teacher are to be taken home unless otherwise stated.
- Parents/students must inform the teacher of any injuries before the class begins.
- Preschool-aged children must be fully potty-trained and able to use the toilet unaided for child protection purposes.
- Parents/guardians are not encouraged to stay and watch classes unless it is a taster session, or a specific sharing event arranged by the teacher.
- Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Students may be asked to sit out or leave the lesson if they cause a disturbance.
- Students under 11 years old are not permitted to leave any venue unless accompanied by an adult.
- If another adult is picking up your child, you must inform the teacher.
- Universal Dance is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Found items will be placed in lost property.
By enrolling in Universal Dance, you agree to these terms and conditions, and adherence to our code of conduct is always expected.
